STS-3710: Solaris™ 9 Jumpstart Configuration and Usage

Course Description:
The Jumpstart for Solaris™ course provides the student with the necessary background and product knowledge to plan, configure, administer and troubleshoot the SUN Solaris™ Jumpstart environment. This course covers the SUN Solaris™ 8 and 9 major versions, but for the most part is revision independent.

Thorough lab exercises and troubleshooting sessions enable students to master the network foundations and underlying server configuration of the Jumpstart framework. Additional topics include: the Solaris™ Security Toolkit, Flash archives, building packages and patches, and the Jumpstart Environment Toolkit (if applicable).

This course is intended for technical architects, system administrators and technical support personnel responsible for implementing and supporting the Jumpstart framework in Sun Solaris™ environments.

  • Write a small shell script
  • Troubleshoot network issues
